Beth helped me understand that all foods had a place in my diet and that depriving myself of certain items would only make things worse. As time went on, I found myself feeling more relaxed around food and trusting my body’s natural ability to regulate itself.
Yes, we are in-network with Aetna, Amerihealth, select BCBS plans, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare in select states, including New Jersey (NJ), Delaware (DE), Illinois (Il), Maryland (MD), and Florida (FL). At this time, we are out-of-network with all other insurance providers. Please verify your healthcare insurance coverage prior to scheduling an appointment to ensure a smooth process. If your insurance company requests procedure codes (CPT codes), you can provide them with the following: 97802 for the initial session and 97803 for follow-up sessions. If a diagnosis code is required, let them know the visit is coded under ICD-10 as either Z71.3 or Z72.4. Some insurance plans may also require a referral from your doctor - we can help you obtain this if that is the case.
If you choose to use an out-of-network insurance provider, you will be charged our self-pay rates at the time of service. However, we can provide you with a Superbill document, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. We strongly recommend confirming all necessary details with your insurance company in advance to avoid any unexpected expenses.
The out-of-pocket-fee will be $140.00 for your first appointment and $85.00 for a 30-45 minute follow-up appointment. To make nutrition services more accessible, we accept HSA and FSA payments and offer discounted packages.
While working together, we will be using Berry Street, an easy-to-use web and mobile platform that allows you to connect with me and track your care while we work together. All of your information is secure and private, as Berry Street is HIPAA-compliant. Here are some of the features we can work together with Berry Street:
Schedule or modify appointments and see upcoming sessions you have booked
Upload and share documents, like lab reports and handouts/resources
Set goals and monitor them to help you stay on track
...and more!
This varies depending on the patient and their needs. Nutrition is a journey and it is important to have long-term accountability and support in order to meet and sustain goals.
For example, for Eating Disorder Recovery and Intuitive Eating, it is common for patients to have weekly follow-up appointments with their dietitian weekly for the first 8-12 weeks, and then re-evaluate from there.
For Feeding Therapy, it is common for patients to have weekly or bi-monthly follow-up appointments for the first 6-8 weeks, and then re-evaluate from there.
For most other patients, after the initial consultation, many prefer to schedule at least one follow-up appointment, and many choose to have more. Some people find the Comprehensive Nutrition Assessment is enough for them. You will never be pressured into booking more sessions.
